About Me

Hi there! I’m Carole, the one-woman show behind Heights Park Studios. I created this site as a space to keep all the things I love — ceramics, gardening, cut flowers, and creating beauty around you — and hopefully inspire others to start a creative journey of their own.

I fell in love with wheel-thrown ceramics back in college in the early 2000s and signed up for every class I could. Even now, I still love the rhythm of the wheel, the feel of clay coming to life in my hands, and trimming those perfect little curls once a piece is leather-hard. In the winter you’ll usually find me tucked away in my studio, happily making planters and vases that are just waiting for flowers and plants come warmer weather that truly bring them to life.

My love of gardening started even earlier. As a young child, I spent hours wandering through my granddad’s 1.5-acre award-winning flower gardens. I have the fondest memories of swinging on this backyard swings and the sweet smell of honeysuckle drifting by. Gardening is nostalgic for me, and I love helping clients choose plants that are meaningful to them, design seasonal containers that brighten their porches, or start cut flower gardens that bring joy all season long.

I started this business so I could do what I love from home while raising my kids, including my cute daughter with Down Syndrome; but more than that, it’s become a way to share the magic of flowers, gardens, and handmade pieces with my community. There is nothing better than having neighbors stop and chat with you about your garden. It brings me so much joy! My hope is that something here — whether it’s a vase, or a garden plan — inspires you and adds a little more beauty to your life.

Thanks so much for being here! Please feel free to reach out and connect. I'd be honored to be part of your gardening or ceramic journey in some way.
